Silver bumps & stone chips
Discussion
I have a few marks/chips on the front bumper already, even at only 14k miles. They stick out like a sore thumb, because they leave black marks where the silver paint has been removed.
Does anyone have any good tips for touching these plastic areas up? The rest of the car is perfect and it's a source of annoyance when I clean the car.
ps. I don't require advice on which colour Monaro I should have bought

where possible drive in reverse, this helps enormously
Seriously though, why don't these cars have a decent undercoat? - most of my small chips have gone straight through to the metal so will need "chipsaway" or similar to sort pretty soon. My old astra had loads of chips but they only went as deep as the "body in white" undercoat

Have a look at the detailing sites on here, some good products around although the main way to stop chips is to leave a bigger gap in front of you and only drive "fast" when nothing is in front of you.
Only problemn with the above is every w**ker will try jumping into the space you leave in front of you!!
