4 with eagle f1 with some wear left in them and 2 with something else and puncture repairs so really only kept for ruining at drift day or similiar. Just I fancy a trade up to some 19" and want to see what the going rates likely to be if I sell the old ones. See if they'll even cover the cost of 4 x 19" tyres lol.

I keep my standard 8" CV8 wheels because I think they look ace. Really I'd like some 10" rims on the back in the same style, do you think I could get some made to look the same?

You might be able to get somebody like image wheels to use your stock centers on a split rim for a wider wheel, they use to do it years back with various wheels like the dimma kitted 205gti's etc.

Thanks Jamie. Must I have split rims? Why can't I have wider versions of the ones I have?

To get 10" i think you would need to go 1" either way to avoid contact issues, to get a wheel cast with the correct offsets that looked the same i think would would be talking big bucks.

I have a set of four 04 CV8 18x8 wheels with good tyres on. Could use a refurb though. Open to offers (not silly ones obviously).

last set of cv8 wheels I saw on e-bay did over £400 + £50 to post, with legal tyres. A new wheel is over £300, I know because I had to buy one

What like you should have given me a chance when you told me it was standard?

been pricing the 19" tyres and looks the best part of 800-900 quid for a set of 4 decent ones, so add that to the 850 quid for the wheels and its starting to get a bit pricey for the looks, even getting 400-500 back for the old wheels that money would buy me a suspension upgrade and the road response pack with change left over which I reckon is a better way of spending the money. Oh well refurb of the 18" looks like the way forward for now.

what size/rating was that - all the ones I looked at the Pirelli were over 200 quid a tyre

I put some cheap Nexens on my 19's and so far I've been quite pleased. Got them fitted for £400 for the four... 2 of 245/35, and 2 of 265/30. Extra load and Z rated too.
And a guy locally did a refurb and paint for me for £40 per corner. Total cost to change from 18's to 19's was about £1250 and yet to sell the 18's.

Dynamically (imho) the 18's work better on the monaro. The 19's are too big. That said, ive got 19's on the ute - because they look good confused
