well I've ordered the wortec supercharger intercooled kit for my VXR8. shoot

I want to do some diggin about with regards to good uprated clutches. I believe that the LS7 clutch is good. Not heavy or bite'y.

Anyone got any good info on this?. Maybe my standard clutch will be alright for a while yet..... who knows.

It feels almost identical to stock, fractionally heavier perhaps but almost not noticeable.

It`s the ideal upgrade clutch wise as its virtually identical to std in characteristic and weight.

And it takes serious power.

I have the LS7 too, a little heavier but in no way unuseable.

dunno what you're moaning about. LS1 with Maggie 122hh/585lbs torque and still on standard clutch.

My standard LS1 clutch barely held a little over what I'd estimate to be 5-550 bhp.....

My standard LS1 clutch was slipping, and I'm still NA.

To be fair, my clutch was renewed when the new gearbox was fitted about a month before the blower was fitted. I anticipate it won't last long!

A Lot depends on usage. On the road it seemed fine, although I was only using the std LS1 engine with blower for a very short period of time....say 3-4 weeks lol

First time I tried to race it, the clutch slipped on the 2nd run. Once cooled down, it was ok again on the road. But obviously it was toast, and just hanging on for its life.

LS2 clutch stock on the strip was a nightmare too. Pedal went dead as per usual etc. Id do another LS7 in a second.
In fact I have one sitting on the floor waiting smile
Though I might need to look at a dual disk clutch for the planned upgrade.

got one sitting on my floor at the moment as well, ready for when the blower goes on, mind you going to need to attack it with wire wool first, clean up the surface rust.

My pedal is always 100%, it just slipped a little under power lol. Or a lot.

dual disk ? You aiming for 8-900+ ??
