Is that Beast coming over here. If so then WHEN. Whats the engin size, bhp, do those twin pips come out both sides?
Cols gonna go TcensoredT's when he sees it. You'll have to excuse me now. I'm off for a cold shower

Don't get too excited, that is still just the "coupe60" concept car, that GMH have said they definitely won't be building.

ETA: I think it would be the 4th Gen if it happened, First being the HK/T/G series, 2nd the HQ/J/X/Z series, and third being the recent VT/X/Y/Z Commodore based series.

Heres some info from an earlier thread, I know what Tim the pool bloke says but, I still live with the hope that GM will see the light and build this 'awesome beast'.

I know it's extremely unlikely to be built... but still I hope. I'd sell my body (or at least bits of it) for one of those

Here is my favourite, the HQ, the car that got me into GMH, basically the 4 door version was used as NZ police car. Reminds me of the US Chevelle

For a start, here's my brother's HQ 4 door Monaro GTS 308. He also had a 2 door HQ Monaro 350.

OK, a bit of a history lessonwink

We have heaps of pics of all models on our WA Monaro club website, but they are hidden behind a members only login and then 2 layers of passwords... and a big warning not to post them on other sites... so I've had to link to pics I found on google.

First Generation HK, HT, HG

HK Monaro; 68/69, 161 & 186 CI 6 cyl or 307 & 327 CI Chev V8

HT Monaro; 69/70, 6 cyl or Holden 253 or 308 V8, or Chev 350 V8

HG Monaro; 70/71, same engines as HT.

Second generation HQ, HJ, HX, HZ

HQ; 71/74, Monaros came in both 2 door and 4 door, with lots of versions including GTS and SS variants.
Engines: 173 & 202 6cyl, 253, 308 and 350 V8

HJ; 74/76 Again in 2 and 4 doors, same engines except the 350 Chev no longer available.

HX; 76/77 As per the HJ, except the only 2 door was a Limited Edition (LE) in reddish/purple with gold wheels.

HZ; 77/79 Only a 4 door Monaro, and IIRC only as a V8 (253 or 308)

3rd Generation... You all know the storywink
