I have been thinking a bit about doing something else to the 'ro.

Do Wortec still do a CAI and for anyone that has it what are you opinions?

Depending on model you want an otrcai ideally. As Per Orssom, G&D, PT etc. A search of ls1.com.au will tell all.
I dont think there is one available for the VZ's however

I've got the Wortec CAI, ok, it's on a non sc car, but it is a slight improvement over the standard drill-a-hole in your air box mod.

It seems to have improved the throttle response a little during last winter and fuel economy improved - a bit.

Reminds me, the MAF pipe is still rusting and I need to get that seen to.

Yes, they do. Some of other mentioned wont fit as you are Supercharged. I'll let other voice their experiences of them.

Did you have it done on its own? If you did, could you notice any difference?

Blimey, more prices!!!!! Yes, its £399 inc fitting and VAT. Realistically without the diary in front of me it would be about 2 weeks. Might be able to squeeze it in earlier if you cant wait!

You could go DIY,

K&N cone filter = £40

IMPORT from USA, intakehoses.com
1 x 90 degree elbow = £7.5
2 x 45 degree elbow = £10.00
clips = £5.00
staight aluminium pipe = £6.00
Carriage and import tax = £40.00

Shroad = £30?? Mine £100, I went for a fibre glass resin kit 5kg, will have plenty left over

The options are 3" - 5", I went 5" and it rubs slighty on the bonnet insulation and nostral plastic bits.

It sounds awsome when you floor it (that wasn't my intesion)

It will need mapping

Improvement seen 92-93kPa @ WOT to 101-102kPa @ WOT

For a true CAI, you can run upto a 5" (its tight) flexible pipe (£25)from the lower front grill up under the wheel arch and if your brave cut a hole through the inner wing to the cone filter.

You can get a K&N intake, volant, ligenfelter, granva tuning makes one, or just put a drop in K&N filter.
