Hi all. Anyone got any feedback on how their CV8 handles (steering and suspension) on the open road? I know all about how the Ro handles through cornering ie. a bit soft and a bit too much roll for my liking.

What I'm curious about is whether I'm the only one who fights to stay in my lane on the motorway when it's windy? I tend to feel the wind push the car either way through the steering wheel which makes driving long distances on windy days a tad tiring.

No doubt there's some 'pac' for this too. Maybe a 'keep-it-straight pac' or just the 'road response pac'???

Early months of ownership but haven't noticed what you're experiencing on motorways etc.

Listen to the voice of experience that will no doubt flow very soon....

had a similar problem with my old 993 - worn shocks believe it or not!

was drifting all over the place on the motorway - replaced with bilsteins all round and was sorted.

Noticed the steering wander at speed too on my CV8 when I got it (4 years ago).

Had the Monkfish RR pack and lowered springs/2nd hand vxr dampers fitted, much improved it, although it's still not quite as good as the Boxster S I had prior to the 'ro.

Steering wander is never a good thing, agree it's tiresome, combined that with loss of traction at the rear and a pull to the left under heavy braking equals frequently clenched buttocks, but, thankfully, I never had a brown trouser moment

Roger replaced my rear dampers with gas pedder units and fitted a new set of pads to my AP brakes now she drives straight as an arrow

Go see monkfish, even if it's only for a setup, they can do the toe in/out and camber (camber only on front as it's adjustable as standard), will transform the car even with standard suspension. Worth every penny.
