So I've been waiting since FEBRUARY to get a decision off Vauxhall as to whether I can get my flaking door handle paint replaced under warranty (bear in mind that despite the Ro being a 54 plate it still has only 21k on the clock).

So after making me wait all this time (when I could've just paid £130 and got it done) they finally decide that it's not covered under warranty.

Honestly I would've been happier if they just told me that in the first place rather than stringing it out. C0cks!

I would question their decision. A number of owners have had theirs replaced under warranty including me.

If the paints "peeling" then its a manufacturing defect i.e. they havn't used the correct adhesion / primer system. It should therefore be covered under warranty and not be dismissed as wear and tear.

2 work colleagues had similar issues with an Subaru Imprezza and a MG ZT and both got sorted under warranty.

Ok guys thanks for the responses.

Guess I'll give it another go. It is flaking. I think they've used the wrong primer for the plastic handles (maybe the same as they use on metal for the body?).

Anyone know the number for Vauxhall Customer Services or whoever makes these decisions?
