You know when they bring new road tax rates in, and in order to circumvent said increases you cash in your tax early and buy another 12 months worth before the rise, well not anymore.

Apparently the Govt. is putting in a clause in the finance bill so you won't get any refund until a year later (article read in today's Telegraph).

Money grasping bar stewards. They don't miss a trick do they?

Possibly.. Does this mean I can cash in my reasonably priced road tax, and get refunded the full £450 squid a year later.. idea

Any idea what happened when they discussed dropping the retrospective tax increase on cars back to 01?

I thought I heard on the news yesterday....the government won. That along with them keeping their "John Lewis" lists for freebies for their freebie houses.
