I know the subject of headlamp bulbs has been covered before, but for what it's worth I've now driven my Monaro for the first time at night since I fitted a pair of Osram Night Breaker H11 bulbs, and I am very happy with them.
I've also cranked the adjusters up to the maximum height the MoT man will allow, which obviously helps, but compared with the standard set-up the lights are transformed. I can now drive at motorway speeds, and in the lanes around where I live, in the dark with confidence, whereas it was never very inspiring previously. I'm sure you all know what I mean.

Do "Halfrauds" stock them or did you get them elsewhere?
My c/card statement says Car Bulbs Direct, though their website shows only Philips bulbs. However, they are part of Power Bulbs who have the Osram products: www.powerbulbs.comOsram bulbs are also available from the www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk There appears to be an offer on them at the moment.
Suggestions only, not recommendations, etc. etc.

Thanks for that .. will have a look before winter

I have replaced just the dip bulb in the outer lamp, which was Philips H11 and so the Osram H11 is a straight swap. The inner (side & main) bulbs are unchanged and the lights are unmodified as far as I am aware - the car was 2 years old when I bought it.
I believe the choice of H11 is limited, but I recall that some owners have modified other bulbs.
The sites I mentioned above do not list the Monaro, but perhaps it is not really surprising when even some Vauxhall dealers don't know what the things are!

I know the thread is about Manaro lamps... but I just had my dipped beams bulbs swaped for some RING Xenon Plus H7 and also had the height adjustment raised a notch under MOT pass height.
Anyone wanting to change the dipped bulbs... I warn u it is a nightmare... had to remove the front top cover then unattach the Fuse box for the driver side lights unless u got hands like smeagle from lord of the rings. Then to get to the left lamp we had to dismantle the airbox.
like WTF... can't ppl design a little more room just to change the bulbs? No wonder garages and dealers are charging £50 to £100 just for 2 H7 bulbs which cost no more than £12. What a piss take!!!
I just gave garage friend some sandwhich + bear money for his time and he was happy with that but if I had gone to a dealer... SH!T!!!

I assume you checked in the wheel wells - its not like the astra with door hatches in the splash guard that let you into the back of the lights to change bulbs?
You gotta go to Hoen. It is where I got mine and they look great. Identical to HID minus the price.

Afroman - any pics?
Are they brighter than standard or just look "pretty"? Need to replace one/both of mine. Did the main beam to dipped conversion a while back, so need something of similar brightness.
