Ill let others give their views, but if you want to try it out, we currently have this fitted to our demonstrator.

I would say definitely try one out first. When I did the upgrades on mine I never really felt that it had added as much extra as I thought it would. Then again adding 40bhp or something to a Monaro is never going to make as much difference as adding it to for example a hot hatch.

The focus pac as it is is a good mod, but not as good value as the sport pac for instance. I have the focus pac and looking at it as a stepping-stone to FI in the future (with the headers etc). To be brutally honest there's not much difference in noticeable useable power from the sport pac (as already suggested).
Choice is yours!

See if you can drive a few setups. Find something that scares you then go directly to that.

Anything else is just prolonging the enevitable and wasting time and money smile

My first mod was a 112 supercharger... that`s it, no headers or exhaust.
It was the best money I have spent on the car in terms of meeting expectations.

Stuck the sport pac on my CV8 last week courtesy of the Monkfish boys and am very pleased with it indeed. Driving to and from Silverstone from Kent was a real pleasure, even in the rain!

My prediction is that you'll go for a Focus Pac after driving the demonstrator. You won't be able to get the noise out of your head for one thing!

Is the sound of the focus pac that much better than sport pac? cos of headers?

yes yes yes
IMHO
With headers you will "hear" the engine rather than the exhaust, that is to say some of the noise will come from in front of you as apposed to all behind you.
I suppose in a crude way it can be compared to an induction kit, where you hear the intake of air from the front.
(With regard to both induction and headers, they are not everyone's cup of tea if you like a "normal" sounding car as passengers are confused hearing more noise from front of car)
Wortec Headers can be fitted later and bolt straight on, so you have the option.

........Good luck.
Just tell her exhaust rusty and needs replacing, however they ran out of silencers so they knocked a bit off the price but it might be a bit noisy.......hehe
and the money you've saved you can buy her a new dress or something.......
should work i reckon!!

Well you can take the silencers with you and leave them in the garage! Tell her they can go on if she REALLY doesn't like it! The new exhaust will last MUCH longer than the original anyway.
