Anyone taken out an extension on the standard Warranty?

Looking to take one out, and would be grateful of any recommendations

Hi. I took out a network q extended warranty as the original was about to expire. You can only do this if you bought your car from a network q dealer. It covers everything except brakes and clutch. It costs £599 per year which you can pay in installments and stop paying if you sell the car or pay off the balance and transfer it to the new owner.

I'd recommend it. who knows what might go wrong. I've had a replacement filler cap and a passenger door central locking motor in the last couple of months.

Yippeeeee! did not know about this, mine was 2nd hand from a net q dealer biggrin

Was considering selling as wife is pregnant/can't drive the monaro and thinking about a E92 M3 as warranty is about to go on mine...... This would give more time until she is due next year as M3 prices are in freefall!

Thank you.

My car also came with the Network Q warranty, but I opted against renewing as they insist the car is attended to by a Vauxhall franchise, and we all know how successful that can be. It is not exactly a convenient arrangement either. Decided I'd take the risk and if anything goes bang I'll have to pay for it but at least I can choose to have it fixed by someone that I have confidence in.

Tesco's seem to offer a set of warranties which for my 05 C8V came out as:

Value Plan: £259
Standard: £339
Finest: £419

https://carwarrantyplan.tescofinance.com/documents...

Seems a lot cheaper than Vauxhalls Network Q extended Warranty and it looks like you get to choose where you have the work done.

Anyone used them? My warranties just about to expire.

thanks
