Right my little picture of the trans light came on today so i plugged into my flashscan and got the codes

Diagnostic Trouble Codes
If a malfunction is detected in any of the onboard electronic systems a Diagnostic Trouble Code will usually be set.
Some DTCs also save a Freeze Frame (snapshot) of the current operating conditions when the malfunction was detected. DTC's that have Freeze Frame data available will display "H" in the status column.

DTC DESCRIPTION STATUS MODULE
P0171 "Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1" MPHC ($10) "Powertrain Control Module (PCM)"
P0174 "Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 2" MPHC ($10) "Powertrain Control Module (PCM)"

Does anybody have any idea what these mean

Regards

Ironically I've only seen this when an airhose has been disconnected or got hole in it.

A engine builder friend has also suggested that with both codes on it is likely to be one or more duff sensors - MAF is the usual suspect.

I guess it could also mean a clogged up fuel filter or injector(s) though.
