When indicating turning left the winking speeds up to twice the normal rate??? doesn't always happen and never when turning right, and the ASC switches on and off occassionally.....any ideas?
Normally when it speeds up it indicates a bulb is blown or loose connection..........
Thanks all of you so I'm off to the local Vauxhall dealer to investigate the problem, I'm not convinced it will be sorted given this is the same dealer that didn't know about depressing the clutch when starting the car !!! Revert to tried and trusted method of speaking very slowly, using small words keep repeating warranty and pointing a lot...hey ho the things we do
Whats the build date of the car? (stamped on the plaque under the bonnet)
After reading the tech note for the water leaks on pre sept 2007 cars and the details it describes of possible water ingress points then it is very possible that water could get into the electrics behind the dash and behind the centre console.
Water + electrics can cause all maner of weird symptoms.

Seems to be due to a faulty module. Its common in Oz too. definately links to cold mornings (ie almost every morning in the UK).

"Well, they were going to replace both the tail light assembly's yesterday but apparantly HSV has issued a statement that they have found the cause to be a faulty module, not the actual assembly's.
Of course this problem is only occuring during very cold weather, hence, it doesnt seem as wide spread. But would account for the majority of claims coming from the A.C.T and Tassie according to the dealership.
They will not be releasing the updated module till late July, so I am on the waiting list."
