VXR Brakes will they fit a CV8 182 wheel?

Yes, I have them myself.
The space saver spare wont fit on the front though I don't think - I always carry an AA card and 2 cans of Tyreweld.

I think the spacesaver will fit over standard front VXR brakes - it won't however fit over 6 pot / 380mm front AP brakes.
As for the difference between the two systems - massive - the APs give far less play at the pedal before anything happens (due to the 6 pot opposing piston design compared to the 2 pot floating caliper design of the VXR brakes) better 'feel' at the pedal once the brakes are applied, and they won't fade even during repeated track use.
VXR brakes compared to standard CV8 brakes - VXR brakes are 'better' but not by that much.
The APs are worth every penny on the (relatively heavy) Monaro IMO

I had a 2005 models brakes fitted to my 2004 CV8 today! a bit better its not an easy fit the caliper bolts are different sizes 12 vs 14 I think he said and they had to make up spacers to make them fit
Not the same as VXR brakes though, which will fit straight on an 04 CV8.. It's the 05 CV8 that differs.
Differences:- VXR better than CV8, worth doing if not stupid money. AP's, much better & much more expensive, well worth having if you can afford them though.
As for Stig's statement that the standards are OK for the road, totally depends on how hard you drive and how hard you brake!!! Personally, I think they're pretty dire which is why I upgraded...
yeah the original ones were ok for normal driving and most conditions but I was once left wanting after a bit of heavy rain and they didnt seem to do anything so I got the vxr ones. Yours are uprated over the original CV8 brakes but I dont think they are same as the vxr stoppers but they are a step up from the originals!
