Anyone up for this? No major mods yet but I'm keen to have a go and see what its like. Been wanting to go since I was a little kid but never had time. Now I'm a big kid and have a little more time. Missed last one and hope there will be a group from this forum, weather permitting.smokin

I'll have to have a word with Col on a bit. Would love to but know Stig and i(plus a few others) are gonna be meeting up at Shakespears which is the same as the pod but a bit closer. That should be within the next month to six weeks(will post up invite when we know when)(if that makes sensesilly) So not just yet. I missed the last one also so am lookig forward to the next.

Won't be back to Santa Pod until my gearbox oil cooler, torque converter and tune is done, hopefully in October.

Shakespear County Raceway. Used to be called Avon Park, it's a drag strip in the Midlands.

The same as in a drag strip? Santa Pods just more well known and therefore more popular. They do Nationals there and RWYB's. We just wanna have a good day trying to beat our 1/4 mile times without travelling so far. Everyone will be welcome. I'll still be going to The Pod on Vauxhall meets and big events, i just wanna give this place a go. Stig has been before and recommends it, i trust his judgement. ::

Watch the crosswinds when you clear the bleachers.

Last time we were there we saw a TriChevy flip at 170mph.

I may be up for this, supposed to be at a Rolling Road day on the same day so not sure yet. Is this likely to be well attended? It's nearer to me than the Pod.

Hey Richard - (III) "More horsepower, more horsepower, my Kingdom for more horsepower,, You off to Shakespeares to quell The Tempest then , or is it Much ado About Nothing? To be honest it sounds more like a Tale of Two Cities to me, or is it just a Midsummer Nights Dream? Methinks you Ham let him off then? Or will there be more in Henry V8 part two?
