VXR 500 prices/options
Discussion
Did the VXR500 (The 'Officially' converted cars) come with uprated brakes, suspension, and exhaust?
Can anyone advise on what these are worth these days-it seems that just about anything post Feb 2001 with a big engine is virtually unsaleable.
Last 2 VXRs I have seen have been in region of £24k.

I think a real registered VXR500 would be worth about 26K to 28K and do come fitted with a Harrop supercharger,AP Racing Brakes all round and Wortec Exhaust system and a few other things.
There is a SC 56 plate VXR on pistonheads for sale but its not a real VXR500 but and standard VXR with a SC upgrade on it.

Non-SC VXR prices are all over the place at the moment. I think the real value now is £17-18K, maybe a few more bob for low miles or late Reg examples.
SC VXR are harder to pin down as there are few on this depressed market and they vary a lot in terms of overall spec. The 112 SC is out of fashion and the smart money may be moving on from the 122 from what I hear. I'd say the whole gamut of SC would be standard plus £2,500-7K depending on level of mods.
The market is quiet but a chap at work has just bought a used M5 and another is eyeing up the Range Rover now the prices have softened. Big engined car market is quiet, but reports of its death may be a tad exaggerated (with apologies to Mark Twain).

Very nice car that - lovely sound which when I had it for a couple of days made everyone look.
Not sure why the offical VXR 500's would attract a premium as there are much better set up cars out there. As Wormus said in another thread "would much rather set fire to mine than sell it". All IMO but the prices do not reflect the performance although with current conditions hardly surprising.

Yeah the VXR8's
Commodore has always been a 4 door. The monaro was a limited "experiment"..
Maybe thats what makes it good..? Me I prefer 4 doors. Infinately more practical. 496L boot IIRC.
