I have a set of nearly new AP 6 Pots & 355mm discs from another project here. Can anyone tell me if the bells & caliper mounting brackets for a VT2 are available seperately please?

Also, not really paid any attention, but are the HSV brake hoses braided or just rubber?

Apparently you can have them made up at some bike shops. Ferb (Ute owner on here) upgraded and did exacly that.

Terry, have a word with monkfish they should be able to help with info on the bells, I know if you need new discs you have to buy the bells as well due to some contractural relationship between AP and Holden.

www.bgdevelopments made my brakes.

If you took the car to them, they can make them fit the car.

Thanks Stevie, I have sent Roger a mail on the bells, but this is a good option. Were they expensive?

My entire brake kit was about £1500 or so....cant rem exactly, thats about 2 or more years ago.

310x32mm floating discs, 4 pot AP's incl DS2500 pads, and custom bells and brackets.

The floating discs cost more than solid mounts.

So for a custom made setup, it wasnt really any dearer than off the shelf kits IMO.

I think I have sourced bells and BG have come back with a great price on the brackets thanks Stevie, the only thing I need now is an HSV hub so they can use that and a wheel to make the brackets up, anyone have a spare hub?

Is it not feasible for you to take the car to them ?

I guess with the amount of them having accidents...there must be some parts available.
Also try in the US, as no doubt they crash loads of them.

I offered them the car Stevie, but they said they don't have room.

I guess another option...would be to remove a hub from your own car.....kinda leaves you stranded though ?

It would be interesting to know the result of this exercise as I do know we are getting raped on the prices of these brake kits!!!furious
