Underside Protection.........
Discussion
I'm getting mine done via RapidGB, there's a place on the same industrial estate that does them for £350 +Vat. Apparently they remove the prop shaft, take the rear seats out and remove the door cards to do a proper job.
I know Roger does similar although he probably won't admit it - it's a horrible job apparently.

I did mine last week, underneath and in the box sections.
For a 04 Car it was pretty good once I got the dirt off. There is no rust protection to speak of from the factory; just a liberal splattering of stonechip protection in selected areas and that was about it.
I used these two products, lucky I had access to professional equipement which made it much easier.

I have yet to do in the insides of the body work like sills and doors etc.
Does anyone know if there are drain holes for the sills under the plastic sill extentions? As there does not seem to be any on the lip where they normally are on other cars?

Cheers guys. Well, looks like i'll have to get it booked in somewhere to get sorted out when i've got some time off. I think there's a place an hour up the road at Morpeth.
Morpeth?!?! The Monaro capital of Northumberland!!
Indeed! There is a place there called 'The Waxworks' that does all undersealing and stuff.davegreg said:

So you mean all this time the muppet, jimb0 and the rest on here have been right along the road from me, noose and the Newcastle squad?????
There's actually another thread quite recently where we talked about waxworks in morpeth.
Guess so! Saw a blue CV8 in Alnwick a while ago, but not spotted any up here sinceThere's actually another thread quite recently where we talked about waxworks in morpeth.
I got some undercoating done at teesport in Middlesbrough, but the job was not brilliant. So I finished it myself with some tins of cavity wax and loads of waxoil, hell it was a pain to do but I couldn't drive it in the winter without it.
The car was in good condition though, and I intend to keep it that way....
