Followed a stream of cars other night on M25 one braked hard and the next 2 hit it hard. I just avoided them by a few feet but stopped in front of the first one briefy they all seemed OK but the TT which had just been in front of me and was following way too close came around the cars (despite hitting the one in front hard) and pulled away quickly. My first thought is there goes the other guys insurance as the TT driver didn't wait to exchange details. So I took off and eventually caught the TT (had quite bad drivers front damage) phoned local Plod (Surrey) gave them the details of the car and made the point I was very happy to be a witness for the person the TT had hit.

Needless to say I never heard anything again!

If the guy admitted he was involved, there would be no need for the bib to contact you.

I was out on my calls 6am last Sunday morning when i came across a Astra with the windows down. It was obviously stolen as the barrel was destroyed. There was a golf club hanging out the boot and all sorts of electrical equipment on the floor outside of the car. That to me meant a house had been burgled as well. Called the police gave them the info. Waited outside for them. Half an hour later i flagged a police car down. I gave my details. played with his dog for a bit (the police mans) then went on my way. The cars still there now. They don't give a toss. Cute dog though::

sorry about my spellingsilly

You did your bit in reporting the accident - there was no serious injury(?) so bib will take your details of the runner & do him/her for 1. Failing to report an accident & 2. For leaving the scene of an accident! Also for dangerous driving(?) in travelling so close to the vehicle in front that the driver couldn't stop in time! Silly thing to do that...a runner - it's best to stay & take the punishment cos it'll be more severe now!

Having said that, the bib were probably stopping drivers for doing 31 in a 30 limit somewhere else or charging a group of 4 pensioners on a picnic for having 'dangerous' metal picnic knives in their possession!!!

Rant over!!

A similar M25 incident (from what i subsequently heard) happened to a pal/work colleague a few years ago. Unfortunatly he didn't survive!! In his case it was a truck near the M40/M25 juntion that hit his car.

Wouldn't this have been better in the SP&L forum? What has it to do with Monaro/HSV?

Some people only use HSV.org.uk and are not aware it is a part of PH

If you don't like the subject line then don't read the topic

Personally, I read this topic first as it appeared to be the most interesting

There's no rules saying we cant talk about other things. We still all have the same passion in common

Friend of mine was side swiped by a speeding BMW last Sunday which failed to stop. His passenger was able to get the reg of said Beemer. Cheshire police said, "If we can find the driver will you be prepared to just swap details and settle it that way"
UNBELIEVABLE.

i got hit by a hgv some time ago he carried on luckily i rang the police and got the number he denied it but i had a witness. the police said if he comes clean will you just swap details i said yes as i just wanted it sorted, but his company wouldnt let him admit responsibility so they threw the book at him and he lost his liscence, got done for dangerous driving, leaving the scene etc. Police were actually pretty good for a change
