What is that hoop under the bumper, is that the toe hook? Not noticed one on other cars I've been looking at.

If it is a two bar and you dont need it. Take it off, they normally weigh a ton. Five bolts IIRC.

Its the tie down eye used to transport the car.............it should have been removed when the PDI was done.........

The front one is not bolted in and lots of people complaied about a knocking noise from the front and it was found that some dealers were not removing them!!!!!

Tow bar would be great, means I could use it for mountain biking. However I didn't think it was possible to fit one to a Monaro?

It's not - Monaro isn't type rated for a tow bar.

Is it removable or does it swing away? I won't be using it for towing.

if I was you I'd remove it and keep it in the boot with a spanner to put it back on if the car ever breaks down as there are no tow points on a Monaro for the AA/RAC man to attach to. Least if you've got that he can pull you backwards onto a recovery truck. Certainly not to be used for towing trailers/caravans etc.

Ive seeen Thule roof bars for the Ro advertised in Oz. They would be ace, i could get shot of the vec then and just have one car. Its a pain stripping bike to throw in the Ro.
