I am now carless and very tempted by a Monaro prefably a VXR though open to any.

Cash buyer now as my car has sold and would like some choice extras (Ideally a supercharger) already on it.

Anyone selling or thinking about it anytime soon?

I take it back there's not loads. From what i can see there's only one. Page three 6.0 V8 VXR with Harrop SC'er 2007. 7,150 miles. Looks nice £22,500. Lot of car for the money. Anyway if you want something really different there's a silver one in the advert above that one that's been serviced by Minkfish, whoever they are. Sounds quite posh though hehe

Ta chaps. I can't find yours Paul sorry which one was it?

S600 VXR - Somehow I think yours is way out of price range!!!

The Monkfish SC Demo doesn't have a supercharger on it anymore. Lovely spec - But concerned at mileage and having been kicked around the houses. I don't really want to rebuild an engine at this time!

VXR8 would be nice, but money is falling off them hand over fist at present.

Missed out on Tylers old car.... again!

You don't say how much you are looking to spend? It's worth noting you could probably buy this: www.pistonheads.com/sales/599529.htm (by far the rarest and best colour) and get Mark to add a SC all for around £20k.

You would have the added benefit of not looking like you crashed through a Halfords shop window like if you bought a VXR. These cars look better without such silly plastic trinkets!

just make sure its not a leaky one like mine If I had used a dampmeter on it I wouldn't have had months of wet feet and flaky electrics

Hi Nick, did you see somebody posted something about changing their kick plates to HSV items and the damp problem going away? Perhaps it's water leaking past the bottom of the door seals?

I also read some models had some issue with blocked door sill drains. The fix involves removing the side skirt & unblocking (& enlarging) the drain hole.

Thats the second time someone has refered to my VXR as having been to Halfrauds!!! Last one got blown away in his new (slow) M5... Personally I think the additional bodykit finishes off the car much better than the older poverty spec small engined cars... biggrin

Indeed, the man's head needs examining - he spent a fortune getting it just right and then sold it! Nice motor and truth be told I would have bought it if I didn't already have mine.

On the subject of cheaper CV8 vs VXR debate, have you seen the prices of the models are starting to converge? When the screws start to rust and the paint fades on those silly spoilers people will recognise that original is best

M5s aren't slow either: www.dragtimes.com/BMW--M5-Drag-Racing.html

Good Man, deffo the rarest colour, even my local bodyshop can't make the paint as its "secret" PPG paint apparently....

It may have done some miles, but most of it was motorway work by the previous owner. It is certainly not anywhere close to needing an engine rebuild!

Come and view it and drive it if you want. These cars wear miles well.

Odyssey will never be the fastest colour whilst we have black about.
