Exactly how many Ro's are there in the UK?

Does anyone know?
Just wondered cos my spotted's are mounting up.
1 down the road from my house
1 at my boy's nursery
1 in worcester
Ute in Bewdley
1 in my carpark at work
1 on m42
1 on M5 north
1 on M5 south
and the last one yesterday at a motorspares shop nr merther tydfil - spoke to the owner, not had it long a black 04 VXR with square zorsts. anyone know it?
All different as far as I know - Common as muck these things.....

Edit whereas my VXR8 count is 0.....

I'm sure I recall it being said that there were 315 05 VXRs in the UK. 700 sounds like quite a lot of cars for such a small niche. I could be totally and utterly wrong here as is very often the case.

Anyone know of a white Monaro VXR? Don't think I've ever seen one advertised, does one exist?

(slightly off topic I know but I've only ever seen 2 Monaros and both owners are on here anyway!)

My Phantom Black VXR(05 style) was bought new in Mar 07 and is number 350 I was led to believe that it was probably one of the last imported. I may be wrong.....

I thought it was 375 for 05 VXRs

I think the original figures were...
04 CV8 = 230
04 VXR = 60
05 CV8 = 140
05 VXR = 355

...plus a few personal imports...minus a few write-offs!

I think it's nearer double that, I seem to remember 900 in total for all years? I think GranadaMan is the closest and he has an eye for detail.

I'd tend to agree with rocket and his numbers, they look similar to those Dougie from Vauxhall posted on here a while back - btw that lot adds up to 785 - not far off the 900 you were thinking. I think you'll find there's probably less than 700 now with the number being written off over the 4 years they've been on sale.

Counting one's I've viewed at dealers I've seen a grand total of six (and one of those is a "not confirmed". Then again I don't get out much.

Honest John says Vauxhall badged 300 [04 Monaro] imports. A Telegraph roadtest of the 5.7 VXR said that only 50 were destined for the UK.

So, we reckon somewhere between 800 and 1100 cars.
Lets say 10% have bit the dust.
that's still 700-1000 cars on the UK roads, so in 18 months of ownership I have seen (on the road) 1% of the total in the UK?!!!
Even at the "meets" the most I've seen is about 15 ish.
My question is WHO OWNS ALL THESE OTHER MONAROS??? and WHERE ARE THEY???
