Being lazy here. Anyone know how many splines there are in our diffs?
And also the diameter of the ring gear.
I'm buying a True Trac and assume we have the same as the GTO's at 28 splines.
Anyone else interested in a true trac, let me know as we might be able to reduce/share shipping costs. These diffs are far superior to what we are using and don't have the oil/modifier problems the Holden diffs have, and are good up to about 5-550 HP
Currently priced in the states at around $375-$534. That would be plus shipping, plus duty and plus Vat.

Harrop do a version under license with Eaton internals, which is a billet unit and they claim it is stronger and will take more HP (600). The Detroit is a forging which should be good enough for us IMHO. Harrop one will come in at around £600 ish, and I'm not prepared to pay extra for a badge and someone elses royalty fees. All look like a good alternative, but what about a high horsepower alternative? (Circa 700FW)

I think you will have much more than a diff to worry about. For the strip anyway.

Starting at the back Gareth....
Drag racing is for fun like I said, its Vmax I`m interested in.
I am however looking at Tubbing and flaring for a larger contact patch, however that only causes more problems as strength is even more an issue.
Not going to decide on a package till I`m happy I can use it.
This may take some time.

Thats 454 NA territory
Check out Harrop's 9" and 12 bolt diff's for the commodore. That should handle things no problem.
Throw in a built trans with the Viper splines and twin disk clutch and you should have a setup to handle that no problem.

My mobile phone has internet so I sadly use it to keep in touch. Plus Im in IT and need to make sure various corporates' internet access is working properly to ensure productivity levels are maintained
