hi i unlocked my car the other day and all ok but when i tried to lock it it wouldn`t lock from the key fob. would lock ok using the door but not using the fob. swapped to the spare key and all seemed ok, the car locked fine. thought little more of it, just thought i`ll need a new battery for the fobs but when i next started up the car all the presets had disappeared on the stereo but not the cd position and the climate control had turned itself off. anything to worry about or just another quirk? i`m gonna get new batteries for the fobs anyway.

the two keys can have different settings for two drivers for example you and your wife she likes it hot you dont so your wifes key would rememebr her settings and your key yours. as for key fob batteries afaik they arent replacable, you need a new fob if its gone flat

I think that the battery recharges to an extent when it is in the barrell since I tried putting a low-battery fob in the ignition and just leaving it for a while with the electrics on but nothing working (ie turn the key in the igniton but don't start the engine, then turn it back off and leave the key in ignition without any radio/ac/wipers/etc... switched on)

both the keys have been playing up in the last few days. sometimes refusing to unlock the car then working ok but not unlocking the passenger door. a bit frustrating.
