Loosing control of bodily functions.......

Not me the car….
Been having a few strange moments from the BCM lately.
Ever since I’ve owned the car the electronics have been a bit quirky. If I stall or stop the engine and then restart it within a few minutes it flashes “Service Soon” on the display and plays about 5 notes of the tune before it remembers what it’s supposed to be doing and returns to behaving normally.
The Cruse Control very occasionally fails to turn on when I press the button on the end of the stalk. It will remain like this until the ignition is turned off and on. This has only happened a handful of times over the three years I’ve owned it. Also once the head lights failed to turn off when in auto mode
About 3 months ago the remote stopped working so I guessed the battery was duff and as I was at home I went and swapped it with the spare thinking I must order another.
Well the other week things started escalating. Every night the head lights (I always have them on auto) failed to turn off when I exited the car and I had to switch them off manually. Also the remote (swapped with the spare a few months earlier) once again would not open the car. So I use the key and lock method, set off the alarm, quickly turned on the ignition to shut it up and drove home. When I got home it was working fine again and with a good range. Now this got me thinking so I fished out the spare keys and tried them. Nope still no response. So, with the spare set, I opened the car, set off the alarm, turned on the ignition and when I removed the key the remote worked fine and with a good range. It looks like the BCM is forgetting the remotes. This happened a two more times over a week so I booked it into the Vauxhall dealer to investigate (two weeks left on the warranty). I explained it was a very intermittent fault and they pointed out the sign which said £47.00 diagnostic charge for warranty claims if no fault found.
Result: They had it for two days and, you guessed it no fault found! They did however check all the grounds and re-seated the plugs and made no mention of a £47.00 charge.
That was last Tuesday. So far all has been good except for the usual tune and service soon if I restart the car within a few minutes of stopping it but I can live with that. Its after all part of its character now.
