Try trawling piston heads and see the price of previously expensive cars - ala: RS6, M3, M5, AMG Mercs... all taking a big hit! Some serious bargains out there for the taking if your in the market for a new big expensive car... which most are not in the current climate. Me - I'm waiting for a baby lambo to drop to £15k...

If they "built it" ie so Mel could have one it wouldn't be a one off would it?
I'd say in terms of cost, for a fancy VXR8 with 2 doors misssing, £50k sounds more than enough for a "PRODUCTION" car.
Granted a one off is gonna be plenty more.

If GM weren't already building a coupe on this platform with this engine for global sale, then you could make a business case to spend the millions required to tool up for a new Monaro. Just as they did with the old one. It would make no sense to do it in competition with the Camaro.
ETA: I guess I can't really say it will NEVER happen... a company can change it's mind but it makes sense to me that it won't. Thing is, even if they made the Coupe 60, why would you buy one over the new Camaro, same thing in a MUCH better looking package...
I bet the Camaro will be over $100K here
