Are there any kits out there that take cold air from the bonnet vents and duct it straight into the air box/filter for that Ram Air effect?
Last winter my engine bay was filthy with road grime and salt!!! I will block the vents up this year in case they are the culprit.
Another question ...will a Pontiac GTO exhaust fit a Monaro? its the center section that interests me if its a straight through pipe that is..from the cats back but keep the rear silencers..

Im not saying that they work
As i said im not saying that they work but that they are called extractors so assume that they let out hot air when the car is stationary instead of letting it build up under the bonnet
hot air will rise within the engine bay and becuase the volume of air rushing past outside when at speed the inside air is likely to be at a lower pressure essentially heat transfer will take place
Original vents (nostels) will only allow heat out when stationary and even then not alot. Ive ripped out the plastic grills and now have smooth straight path into the engine (note the INTO bit not extraction!). The other vents I had put in will "extract" the air when stationary and more so when moving due to the pressure differences. As for how well they work... not measured the difference but the fans hardly cut in now and the oil pressure stays static all the time now regardless of how hard you drive it (think Ring driving!) where as before the engine was getting hot, fans were going and pressure dropped a little.
They look good to BTW.

Dumb question, but where are the pics of your vents please? They look good to BTW.

Won't that depend on which model Monaro? If you have a V2 a twin system from a VZ won't fit, will it?tim the pool man said:
