Track toy

First of hello Im new to monaros and pistonheads.

Right I have a shell sitting here and Ive decided to tirn it into my track toy.

I havnt much experience about LS engines and need some info which LS engine shall I get and where from [in the UK]
the only ones i can find are

any more??

I know partsworld stocks the engines in the UK but what about the other companies?

I think I can budget roughly 7 ish K for the engines which should cover all the LS engines except the 7ltr and Ill do all the work myself as Ive been stung in the past and wont let someone else touch my cars.

Have you decided on new or secondhand? There's a recent thread somewhere on here regarding two Pontiac GTO's being broken. They have LS1's in em and you might be able to get gearbox, prop, axle etc if needed

Ive used parts world and alls good. Delivered my ls3 next day.

Hi, I dont know about the other companies but I used British american engines for the 5.7 chevy I used in my cobra replica before I bought my Monaro <cobra simulator> without the weather. I have to say the service I got was outstanding . Both Ian and Jez couldn't have been more helpful . Nothing was too much trouble for them and they gave me advice and help long after The engine was out of warranty.

does BAE stock LS engines in the UK as I want to get moving with the build and dont want to wait 3-4 months for the engines to arrive??

Aslo same question for Chevcentre is any one knows.

I'd speak to BAE as they did me a really good deal, Cheaper than anyone else I approached at the time, and the build quality of the engine was excellent. They also threw in some extra's like billet pulleys etc.

All the Ls range have the same bolt spacing for ancillaries and are basically the same, bar cosmetics, so no problem at all.

You might also try Boosted LS1, or Monkfish1 on here, they sometimes have good second hand parts/motors (and new) and are all reputable guys.

There are also some cheap prices coming out of Oz at the moment especially on engines and boxes. Holmart is the company.
