Replacement Head unit
Discussion
What double din heads unit have you fitted and what additional items did you need to ensure it worked well - ie: stearing wheel controls etc.
My orriginal head unit wont play with the amp setup
I have now, sound becomes very distorted as soon as you start turning it up above a wisper.
Running din converter leads off the HU speaker feeds to the rear where Im running an amp per set of speakers (3)

There's a place on the same industrial estate as RapidGB that does all their audio; they've should know the cars pretty well so perhaps they'll sort you out? I think this is them: www.rmdaudio.co.uk/ they are part of the "Four Masters" network

You have a point there as Ive used speaker cable to rca lead converters to feed the amps, they do come with high imput connectors so I suppose I could try feeding speaker wire to the high imputs and see what thats like however its only one side thats distorted with my orriginal head unit in there, tried another head unit with rca outputs as standard and it worksed fine...?

just a thought, do your speaker to line converters have a potentiometer on them? (might just be a little screw) one could be set high and the other low?

Personally I've got a double din Alpine Unit which I can recommend.
Info sir info... perleeze!

The Alpine unit that I have is called a IVA-W200Ri - excellent unit with really good iPod integration. It has been replaced with the newer IVA-W202R and the even funkier IVA-W505R.

You can see a picture of it installed in the following thread - there is also a picture of another members Kenwood double din unit as well.
