Just noticed i'm getting some water coming in somewhere on the drivers side. The bit of carpet aroung the fuel filler lever is wet, and under the mat. Nothing mentioned in the FAQ's. Any ideas? Cheers.

most people will say its around the door seals I had that done and it stopped to a degree mine still fills with water around the side skirt/chassis area and then flows through to the area by the fuel cap lever BUT on mine mainly rear foot well suggest you check rear area

Seems to me they must all do it. To me it's the door seals as when I open the doors having just washed the car there is water sat in the door seal level with the top of the seal. I guess the same happens when it rains and when you drive along it spills over and into the car. My theory anyway!

When you reseal the door lining also remove the speaker as the plastic housing it sits in can also fill up a little at certain angles and leak over the edge and into the car. Easiest fix is to drill a small hole at the back so it drains in behind the door lining sheet.

Join the club. Still if it's any consolation a many years ago I had a brand new golf GTi as a company car. To celebrate, my other half and I decided to have a run from Lancashire down to Cornwall. When we arrived I went to get stuff off the back seat and found the rear passanger footwell full of water. Using a plastic cup I bailed out the best part of a litre of murky water caused I found out later by a faulty condesation unit on the air conditioning. Took seven months of back and forth to the VW dealership to sort out! After that a bit of odd moisture in the 'Ro is no big deal.
