Spotted! Silver '56 Plate Monaro in Cardiff...
Discussion
This will be my first time posting in this forum, but I thought I should after seeing a lovely silver '56 plate VXR in the Cardiff 'Park and Ride' carpark yesterday.
It was a lovely looking motor and the first time I've actually seen a proper VXR up close, they are a fantastic looking bit of kit, I just wish I could of heard it fire up!
The missus on the other hand didn't understand why I was getting all excited over a car...

They rarely do mate... they rarely do

Bless her, but she always looks in completely the wrong direction or has a look of confusion on her face when I excitedly point out various cars and bikes when we are on the road. She had no idea what I was on about when I saw my very first real live VXR8 in Barry a few weeks ago.
I'm trying my best to educate her mind.

Hi Bob. If you want to look and listen to one of the Aussies finest I'm just the other side of Bridgend to you, (if your still in Wick) Are you going to the Motorsport evening in Cwmbran this week?
Charlie
Hi Charlie. I'm still in Wick, I'd love to have a look at one! I didn't even know about the motorsport evening (I must be slipping) but would definitely like to pop along.Charlie

Are you heading across too?
Your car sounds very nice, black is definitley a colour that suits the Monaro.

Yeah I'll be going thru b'end about 6.30 if you want to meet somewhere?
YHM
I'm not sure of the best place to meet up as I don't know the area too well, but I actually live just off the B4265 which goes from Bridgend through St Brides and then through Wick (I live just off the main road). The Lamb and Flag pub is just on the corner if you know it.
I'm not sure if it's out of your way, but it's on the way to Barry and Cardiff and sort of in the right direction.

The exception that proves the rule?

Thankyou.
You know i have these same problems with Col.
We were having a chat the other day. The discussion was about the Maldives. A nice private water bungalow. No cooking or work for two weeks. The choice was that or modifications to the Ro. I felt his priorities were a bit well "wrong" so after cooking him a nice fillet steak, a few pints of carlsberg export from the draft master along with the worst possible Internet photos of the destruction caused by tsunami's i made him see sense. We need more horse power.
Men hey

A lady that has her priorities sorted. I like you!
Can I leave my OH with you for a while for a little training, you know, to get her to see the path that is good and righteous?
She is a cracking lass, but the last time I took her for a proper 'hoon' she got car sick.
