Just a quick hello, purchased my 2005 VXR yesterday....drove it back in possibly the worst conditions anyone could wish for! Swapped my DC5 Integra Type R (another amazing car) for this as I couldn't resist and always fancied a Monaro. Credit crunch...who cares!

How do!

I too came from the Jap fold, I used to drive an over revving torqueless piece of rice (S2000 and CTR) too (still got one). You'll love he lazy V8 power. I do miss the buzz of 8,600rpm+ but the Ro' more than makes up for it.

Enjoy

Actually I have never owned a Jap car, only fords and gm stuff from an Anglia though many falcon's and commodores and the odd fiesta.

Ex Cossie and Subaru man myself and have to say the Ro is a perfect replacement as it gives great lazy slugs of power rather than the turbo warp drive experience. The wife and mates said I would swap the Ro within 6 months. They were wrong. Although I do like the look of a used new shape M5.......

Thanks for the welcome! Ive had various other cars before including subaru's, Type R's and various other stuff. At the moment I also have a westfield megablade so that satisfies the high revving part of driving but I love the raw power and brute force from the Monaro, looking forward to getting some use out of it!

Don't do it Lewis, BM's are as common as dog doo. You'd be exchanging relative exclusivity for relative mediocraty!
