What are your plans for your car during the winter lay off?

This year I've decided to go for dehumidified storage which is costing a lot less than expected! Certainly not much more than renting out a council garage and its less than a hundred notes a month - basically its a cost of a tank so I'm not out of pocket either way.

Also planning on getting the cars paint work revitalised by getting it detailed. A set of new Continentals are planned for feb time but thats about the extent of my excitment. In fact, I'm off to cry

I also am going to slap on some LPG I think. If I do I will run it until it dies, otherwise I might sell and buy myself a 68 Camaro from the US.

yes and mine, might even treat her to some new boots. Having said that we really only get about a weeks worth of proper winter these days anyway!

I'm with you, what do some of you hibernate or something?

Winter's over here, had our first warmish week for spring this week, got up to mid 30's.

+1
I used my VX220 all year around as my daily car. Including driving to work through thick snow. Why on Earth not use the Monaro all year around? It's just a car, not a rare exotic Italian rust bucket!

Mine's always been a toy but she needs tires and a few bits so she's been laid up for a while anyway - I guess she'll stay put for a while then maybe Roger'll get a call....

Well I'm storing it as its a 2nd car, it spends most of its time resting on the drive so its getting looked after this year ready for next. No point letting it languish when it can be kept nice and clean

You all have seen the joke that Vauxhall/Holden consider underseal?
