Went for a ride in the new GTR today.. apparently only 1 of 7 in the entire country. All I have to say is that it sets a new benchmark most definitely. Getting back into the monaro was like getting back into a Corsa. It was absolutely amazing how well it stuck to the road, and the acceleration was absolutely unbelievable. Best kick I have had all day that is for sure.... if you get a chance, go for a spin in one...

Look amazing! ... One of the fellas on the 350z-uk forum just bought one, runs East Shore Racing. He got it modded up to 600bhp.

Yeah, that is his car at the pod.... the one I went for a spin in. Was amazing. Got him to do the underseal on the ute, and then yesterday went for a spin in the beast. Was pretty amazing. That car is scarey quick. If I had a lazy £60k, definitely would have one. Not exactly practical if there are more than 2 of you in the car though.

I've got one on order, due Dec09. As someone who's not into tricked up cars, ( had TVRs, HSVs and Nobles)I'm looking forward to something completely different. Did the GTR academy day at Silverstone and was mightily impressed with its capabilities.

I've one on order too due May '09 and I can't wait.

I'm lucky though as I'm keeping the Monaro too.

I've driven it and as you say the R35 is as good as the hype "and some".
