Mrs C & me toddled off to Bluewater on Saturday (I know, I know, but we had/have wedding rings to buy so there was *some* justification biggrin) and as usual, I picked a parking spot a long way from the buildings and any other vehicles. I've previously had a car clobbered at Bluewater, and the Ro got whacked in another carpark about 2 months after I bought it. MrsC is well used to this!

When we returned, I was initially less then happy to see that I'd been flanked on both sides, but when I saw that on one side there was a 645Ci, and the other an AM Vantage, I wasn't quite so concerned, even though the previous Bluewater damage was caused by some complete chav in a Cayenne.

So, we got back into the car and I noticed a guy running across the car park towards us, looking straight at me. Hmm, I thought, what does he want. He runs right over and unlocks the Aston!

I opened the window and said "it's OK, don't worry, you're safe, we parked here for the same reason!" He laughed, we had a chat about crap citizens damaging cars and how we always park miles from the shops, then he said "anyway, nice car!". Said he'd driven a Ro in Australia before, we talked about both cars, I complimented his (the Vantage has long been on my wishlist if I can ever raise the cash for one) and he joked about how we should swap for a day. It's funny - great idea on paper and he would probably have more to lose, but I don't know how I'd feel about that at all!

Anyway, we coincidentally ended up in a mini convoy all the way to the other side of Blackheath, parted with a toot and a wave. Nice fella.

There's always that! It was *slightly* comforting to see 3 cars parked in a row, miles from anywhere and anything else, who clearly had the same train of thought and intention!

Yes, the "MrsC" point is taken - I'm just thinking ahead!
