Is the HSV service reset proceedure the same as the Monaro ?

Anyone know if this helpful information is the same proceedure for my '99 HSV GTS as it is for the latter CV8 / VXR's Monaros etc

1. Whilst holding up/down arrows on the computer, turn ignition on and wait for the beeps
2. Display showes "Service Reset?"
3. Hold "SET" for a few seconds until it beeps
4. Display shows "No Items"
5. Turn off ignition

my hsv ute is the same. 2005. Don't know about yours. Try it.

Had an oil service warning come up on my HSV GTS VX1 and this is the procedure I used to clear it.

1. Hold the up & down buttons and turn car to on.
2. Wait a little bit and then the dash window should start flashing "RESET"
3. Release the up & down buttons and press the mode button once.
4. Press and hold the up & downs buttons again until it beeps and then release.
5. Turn car off and then back on and the flashing service should be gone.
