The GTR does have electronic trickery though and 4wd. I'd have the vette if I had the choice.

You,re forgetting the styling too. The jap has as much style and charisma as a slice of burnt toast.

hm nothing at all slightly suspect/biased about an American site finding an American car to be the better one? They probably had a Kart driver in the z01 and stevie wonder in the GTR

Not at all Stig, it's because it is. And, it has the correct number of cylinders! And it looks f'ing awesome, not like the bowl of porridge it's up against.

I get confused by the ring times. Unless they are some sort of benchmark for how the car will drive on the road its pointless. Its like the holy grail for pub bragging rites as 9/10 people that will drive the car wont be able to come anywhere close to the times acheived.

The ZR1 is nigh on 100K here, the Nissan is 52 grand.I've driven it, and it's astonishing, the lovely Corvette might be quicker, but it can't be £48,000 better thats for sure.
Oh, and EVO comes out wednesday.......................................

Yep, which why I can't understand so much negativity, or the constant comparision to ZR1's,GT2's etc, suppose it's a compliment in some ways.
Mine is going to be a bit more as it's a "black" edition with sat-nav, but when I ordered ( April this year) a base non-nav was £52K. (We all got free track days with in car vids, personalized helmets etc included!)Think sat-nav might be standard now, pushing the entry price to about £54K? www.gtrnissan.com
