Just quick question about the AP racing brakes, would like to hear some opinions on them compared to the standard brakes fitted.

Thanks in advance

There's no comparison imho. The AP's are probably the single best investment I have done to date.

You really need to drive a car with AP's on to get a comparison against your standard ones. Hard to describe but stopping is far quicker and smoother and it makes you wonder why Holden didn't invest in a better stock set up than we eventually got.

Once price fits all, thats the benefit of a standard platform.
Well up to the VXR8 anyway.

Even when I forked out £7.5k for a set of AP's I was impressed, now have replaced the discs without caliper overhaul & they work as good as when they were new 5 years ago, btw I have covered 50,000 miles with them.

NB Don't led 'crud' build up on the discs by constantly washing them without driving & then suddenly use them in anger as this is the reason why I had to replace the discs.

APs are a must. I did a charity rides thing over the weekend and people were as impressed by the brakes as they were by the noise!

If you want to go faster, get APs before anything else.

Dont get the older style ones with holes drilled through them, they stress crack! Mine are 16k old and all cracked up now, will be getting replaced next year at this rate so not impressed!
