Hi,

Has anyone heard about uprating the steering rack on the VXR8...faster turning and more responsive?

Yes, but replacing all the rubber bushes on the front end withe urethane will accomplish what you want.i.e better turn in.

No faster rack that im aware of, but we are doing a "Road Response Pac" for the VXR8. Should tighten up the front a bit and stop the back end wobbling about. Final pricing to be announced soon, probably next week.

Hi, Have fitted the TW coil overs which have sorted out the rear end damping, I'm thinking more about the steering and turn in the car's steering still feels vague at speed - I did have the full poly bush upgrade fitted on my Ro at Monkfish did help the roll and diving not sure it helped the feel of the steering though?

VXR8's are quite good in this respect, well compared to a monaro. My first port of call would be to check the alignment settings. Low profile tyres, in particular the 20's are very sensitive to alignment settings. To much toe in will kill any feel through the steering.

The Road response Pac will tighten the front up a bit though. The castor rod bush gets replaced with a poly one so will take out some of the vagueness.

i believe TWP have a kit which is supposed to be good especially with the 20" wheels.
Mine has the 20's on it and car doesnt ride the big bumps that well. Can feel like its skipping about.

I dont want the car to be firm but with more advanced damping and tightening up would be good.

Will be interested in the monkfish offering too.....

The Road Response Pac will be available very soon. We will also have some more interesting suspension related products soon

LOL. He'll be too busy trying to tame the back end, to worry about the front.

Obviously of little use to a VXR8 owner but replacing the bushes on the Ro has improved steering response and feedback no end. No more dead spot and no more mid bend wobble.
