Guys,

Recently purchased a set of AP racing brakes from ebay.

Do you think its a good idea putting my trust in my local mechanic to fit them or do you advise someone with a bit more experiance do it.

Opinions welcomed

Many Thanks

I fitted my own front disks they are pretty easy, you have to take the calipers off to do so.
As long as they are competent it should be fine. Sometimes the disks need some persuasion to come off. Nothing a hammer and bit of wood doesn't fix.

More importantly, as long as you happy you know how to bleed brakes properly its easy. APs are no different to fit then any other caliper.

Yeah get the mrs on the end of the brake pedal while you work the bleeding and fluid top ups, its a good family event.

Any proficient mechanic should be quite capable of doing this for you, it's a generic thing. Why pay "experts" rates for a pretty standard modification.
