I have someone interested in purchasing my ro with looking at LPGing it. I know some on here have LPG so a couple of questions for you,

1, Does the MPG change?
2, How much is the conversion?
3, Any recommendations for installers?

Any other sensible advice greatly welcomed

Cheers biggrin

MPG - Largest tank in CV8 spare wheel recess is 60 litres. Fill capacity is 48 litres. 48 litres = 210 miles. 48 litres costs about £25. Starts on petrol and auto switch over to LPG when pressure optimal - a couple of minutes or rev the crap out on startup

Conversion - costs just over £2k

Installation - done by Greenfuel (Bath). No issues (touch-wood) since Jan this year. They love the car, treated it with respect and did a good job

Thoughts - 60 litres is okay but ideally you ought to be getting the biggest one you can. For me it was a boot-space trade-off

I spoke to them before I had mine done (about 4-5 months ago), but at the time they didn't seem to have completed any installations.

We have been working closely with a manufacturer designing/testing LPG systems/programs for about 14 months, during which time we've developed for ourselves LPG packages for high performance cars including Monaros, Bentleys, Cayennes, Range Rovers etc. Currently stacked out so we're not actively promoting it, but we're not turning enquiries away either. We have an N/A Monaro (450bhp), a forced induction Monaro (650bhp) and a Bentley (625bhp) presently as demos. We will have banners on this site very shortly; in the meanwhile excuse the website, which really needs some work ....

No problem Gareth. We were and still are (and ever will be) under a confidentiality agreement with XXX, but there is now no restriction on doing our own thing from the extensive (and possibly unique) knowledge base we've gained. Expect a lot more exposure from us from now on; as a lover of gas guzzlers I'm keen to promote the opportunity this last golden age of cheap luxury cars and cheap fuel offers us all. And I say that as someone who was initially hard to convince: "My baby, running on that filth? No way." Now I love it, and groan when I have to use petrol.

Hi Keith

Please give Chris a call and he'll talk through exactly what you need. He can also answer any questions; he knows more about LPG than is healthy. In principle we can do everything from a basic multi-point to a bespoke tuned package, including floorpan modifications for bigger tanks without intruding too much into the boot. Forced induction is no problem (but do interrogate very carefully anyone who says that).

Wow, LSV + LPG. This is quite topical, as an LPG installer who was meant to call me back today didn't.

His loss could be LSV's gain

I'd better communicate off forum until our banners are up. Still, I'm a convert, and like a Jesuit, I want to convert everyone.
