lol what do you expect? Dealers are looking hard and fast at the rock n' roll and the market is through the floor. Check out the dealer closure thread over in the gassing station

suppose they will say "we have to try just in case you are desperate enough to take it"

why dont they come back then and say something like - look the offer for your car will offend you, do you want me to tell you..

but they come back all smiley like their doing you the biggest favour offering you 50p for it..

That and a number of other tricks like not giving you the real price until you attempt to leave really annoy me..

i walked away from a deal recently for these types of things - told them that too

Funny that, just before I read this post bloke at a petrol station asked me what it was worth (05 CV8). I said 10K, not bad he said. Looks like I was optimistic.

Of course mods rarely add value and do often detract - don't want something that has been got at etc. Moral is always keep all the old bits and convert it back before selling. Sell the upgrade parts separately.

When I brought mine, I was told that the extras cost X and that the price of the car was up by Y.....

When I sold it, the same dealer said that the price would now be down, because there were Mods on the car!!!

Now that really p1ssed me off! Cheeky feckers

My car is the same as an Australian one and conforms to the specs in the brochure, why would any one expect it to be different?

I don't think anyone is going to spot it but in a test drive will notice my car seems strangely better than others but probably would not be able to put their finger on why.
