Volume buttons from Oz
Discussion
My moms going to Oz in a couple of weeks to visit my sister. She lives in Mooney Mooney NSW and i was wondering if it would be cheaper for mom to bring a new volume button part from a Holden dealer out there. So does anyone know (possibly the Australian members) if its the same part, what the part number is, where the nearest dealer to Pacific highway, Mooney Mooney would be and would there be a saving in doing it that way? If anyone knows of any links that could help me it would be much appreciated
ive made loads of savings on oe parts from oz and that was inc delivery, so as ya mam will be employed as posty im sure you will save cash and the dreaded vauxhall waiting time for certain parts. im still waiting for a vent in the rear 1/4 panel from vaux, only 4 months now though. i ordered it myself from oz dealer, got it in less than seven days. so mr vaux i dont need it now thanks

Got one of these recently. You have to buy all the buttons on a base plate though. Cant just get the button, at least not new. Availability wasn't a problem though. Cant remember the price though. Dont suppose it will be cheap. Andy will know if you give him a ring tommorow.

Yeah i think its a cluster of the six buttons. I was told(on here i think) that you have to disconnect the air bag but its not hard to fit (i wont be doing it but i know a man who can)
VX want £203 which i think is a bit steep. Who's Andy? Sorry Andy

Andy is the one most likely to answer the phone if you call, rather than me. My buisness partner.

Any idea how i would find local dealers?
There are two postcode listings, Mooney Mooney 2083 and Mooney Mooney Creek 2250.
You can search for dealers by entering postcode at the top of this page, and also clicking 'Search surrounding dealers'.

Suttons Waitara might be the closest, or is she is closer to Gosford on the Central Coast, Central Coast Holden might be better.

It was me what told you the airbag info Mel. It's literally a half hour job if your Col is handy with a screwdriver. Disconecting and removing the airbag isn't as daunting as it first seems. Vx really are having a laugh with that figure - probably about £150 of that will be on labour.VX want £203 which i think is a bit steep. (
As we are Down Under...you will have to be careful you get the right buttons as our down buttons would turn the UK car's volume up and our up buttons would turn the UK car's volume down........
Too much Ribena for me!!!!
I did have a spare set in the motomk spares department but alas I think I gave them to somebody.

Cheers smarty pants
Cols the least handy with a screwdriver man i know. Not sure i'm brave enough. I'd probably slip and rip the leather knowing me. I'm not ready to pay VX that money for a 30 min job. I told Col what i'm planning to do and he said "i'm not letting Slaters down now they've ordered the part"
like they care. motomk said:

Suttons are the best to deal with. I work for Holden and use Suttons for all the work i need doing on my NSW Fleet.
Thanks for that info however i emailed them on Monday. I know there's a time change but i would have thought they may have gotten back to me by now. Never mind. Thanks anyway SkinnyBoy
