Just got back from Monkfish having finalised with Roger the next round of wallet sapping mods.

As you all know (think you do) I`m well into Vmax, the problem is to achieve my goal of the magic 200 just isn`t doable with my current setup.

So I`m going 427TT......

Not going for as big an install as Harryoz (Pockets not deep enough) but it will be a forged, printed and balanced and free breathing motor capable of revving to 7K and run full boost with no performance loss.

This will allow me to use my 3.07 diff (which has been residing in Harry`s car for the last while being strength tested) and 5th gear to give me a fighting chance.

The install will be relatively soft bottom end (we hope) to prevent drivetrain problems (we also hope) which is why I chose the TT route over a TVS PD blower as the power delivery would have been all wrong resulting in drivetrain breakages (we think....again) And as yet there are no Twin Screw kits that will fit under the bonnet.

The cars also to be lowered and tubbed to allow larger rear tyres and possibly even some under car aerodynamic work.

Like I said its nowhere near the project that Harryoz did nor will the final numbers be anywhere near as large (pursestrings twitching now) but as the build unfolds and evolves I`ll post pics and update you all.

Hmmmmm...Derek's took 8 months, mine has taken 6 months from inception (I'm assured I can have it back next weekend) and Harry's took over a year. These things take time so be prepared to wait a long time.

Why not try a Centri blower, it will give you the soft delivery with big top end, easier to install too?

Sounds ace though! I'm off to buy some nitrous

Wow how exciting. Makes what me and Col want to do sound really dull. I wonder when the first meet will be next year. I'm not missing that.
Jez how does this change the Jez v Rich thing? Were all waitinghehe no pressure or anything. Wonder if Rich will succumb to a SC

So much for keeping it quiet eh! biggrin
Smaller turbos I assume than Harry and make sure they are DBB ones as you wont have any oiling problems with the hight they are mounted in comparison to the sump level.

Now I will be toast. But thats cool. No SC for me. Ive spent my cash and got what I need. Now its optimisation and enjoyment time.
I think you lot will like the cam sound anyway even if I get thrashed by everyones twin turbo LS7's!

Don't worry, it will take him at least 9 months to get all the bits and another 3 to get the turbos set up.

Oh ok, stock cam LS7 is around 400rwhp maybe a tad less in the monaro, so 700 suggests around 12 psi boost required and by the sounds a mega intercooler. Also aftermarket fuel system, maybe just a new intank pump? Sounds fairly easily achievable.

With any luck your diff will be out in the next few days with the Harrop one going in mine. The 3.07 works well

Looking forward to the pictures!

what happened to all the "too much under bonnet heat, it'll peel your paint" etc comments?

If anyone wants to follow suit i have a nice little kit available that'll do 700rwhp easy enough.
