OK in this situation a good friend, as I am sure you are, would go to petes with a fist fulll of cash and wave it in his face whilst laughing

Yikes, not good!

Amusingly, even when I GAVE AWAY a crappy Astra I used to have I had the new owner moaning a little about things being broken. And I felt bad about it for some reason! Never sell cars to someone you know, or even give them away it seems scratchchin

gave my ex fiance a car after we split so she could drive as far from my life as possible. She did, to wales then 3 months later hand the gaul to call me asking for me to pay for the suspension as it had failed the MOT.

I wouldn't have minded but I'm sure it should have also failed on the breaks;)

My dad was a car dealer, years back sold a lady a 3 year old Cavalier with a 12 month warranty, after 16 months she rang him threatening to sue because the headlights weren't working. She brought it in and he replaced two bulbs. She did a 120 mile round trip for that.

Cars and the general public don't mix well, ask any dealer.
