Help! My boot won't open!

As the title suggests.
Key fob works Ok with all the noises & whirrs that go with it. I found (what I assume to be) the manual boot opener under the rear passenger seat and it seemed to unlatch something, but still no go.
Not sure what to do next as the boot doesn't budge at all, anyone?

yes thats the manual boot release by the back seats the only thing i could suggest if you havnt tried this yet is to push down onto the boot wilst tryng the release catch theres also the electric button in the glove box too

i had this problem, i had to lift the boot whist pressing the button on the key fob. When opened there are two rubber bushes that can be unscrewed to adjust the boot opening try unscrewing a couple of turns should open on its own then.

Thanks guys but still no good. The boot will not move at all (I'm in danger of pulling the spoiler off at the moment!)I'm trying so hard.
The lock sounds as if it is driving in and out but I'm getting nothing through the boot.
I know the bootspace is hardley worth having but my shopping that's in it is!!

If the boot is jam packed full of christmas goodys the latch could be under strain so pushing down on the lid (around the number plate recess) with someone else tugging on the manual release may pop it up

Same problem with mine, lock is to be replaced, hoping gets done before it finally jams
