Hi everyone, last month i puchaced a 07 plated vxr and i thought i would join the foum. Having read a number of pages it has helped me understand the car. It is a bog standard setup and i have a bit of cash left. i was just woundering whats the best mod to start with.
Hello. Get ya credit card out, take car to Rapid or Monkfish, leave both car and credit card with them and walk away. When you return you chould have the following fitted...Road responce kit
AP Racing brakes
Ripshifter
Wortec full exhaust, headers and sport cats
122 Supercharger kit
Once you have this fitted you can then go and slay some supercars!

Mind you you will have to do that on the way to your second job which you have had to take to pay for said mods!

Hello and welcome
You say you have a bit of cash left over
it depends how much really:
Road Response Pack
Rip Shifter
Sports Pac
Dont know about the diff on a VXR as i have a CV8 so i cant comment.
Dont listen to S600. He'll have the inside of your home looking like Halfords
Anyway welcome again

Thanks for the advise, i only live about 1 hours drive from monkfish. had a few problems with it at first. I picked it up on the friday, drove to preston for the weekend and on the sunday nite the Lh drive shaft came detatched from the diff. the strange thing is all the allen bolts were there... not happy, it had only had 1600 miles on the clock esp when i traded a astra vxr and a corsa vxr for it. i think the problems i have had is caused by it sitting for over a year in vx central stock. at the mo its running very well yipeee

Welcome to the club. I had Monkfish Sport Pac and Road Response fitted to my CV8 and.
and am very pleased with power and more importantly sound! Handles a bit better too.

I ment to add that to my post. The RR and Ripper will transform the car into a tighter ride and the Sports pack will give you the louder Catback system and a remap that should give you a few more Gee Gees

As ive said before, different people have different perceptions of feel, especially with steering. I think it tightens the steering up considerably, loses a lot of the vaugeness around the centre point. If in doubt, come and drive the demonstrator, thats what it is here for.
