This resulted from hitting a small patch of ice on the A303 early yesterday morning. Back stepped out, hit the bank, flipped and ended up on its roof on the road! Amazingly my mate walked away from this with a few bruises.
A leason for us all at this time of year I guess with high power V8's and RWD.
It was a very nice 540i BMW!

Glad your mate walked away though, that's what matters really. Cars are replaceable obviously.

Suprised to see that on a 540. The abs is ultra sensitive plus it bongs to warn you that the temp is below 3'c

Already bought him a small nottle of the stuff for xmas... gotta laugh having survived! He has some choice bruising from the seat belt where the pre tensioner worked its stuff, was left hanging upside down without moving from his seat! Theres alot to be said for modern cars really.

Definitely! Having been to loads of crashes over the last 30 years, many now survive, whereas in the past the accident would have killed them.

And? Letting you know there is ice out there doesn't matter when you hit ice.

Glad he walked away, biggrin

Since this is an open forum.. around 70mph officer. I've heard of others who have been over 150 in the wet in the same place with no issues so very supprised he lost it.

I heard of a late M5 that went for a burton yesterday too, quite possibly the result of the sudden application of a heavy right foot combined with a damp road surface. Operator error you might say.
