People,

I've managed to get the head unit out and wire the MP3 'feeder' unit in, however I'm unsure as to where to take a good live feed (switch or constant) from within the dash/center console.

I did have a moment when I took the HU out to find 2 radio connectors on the back on the HU, opting to assume that the lower of the 2 feeds was the incoming radio signal, leaving the 2nd connector plugged in though.

What I'm stumped at right now is where to take the live feed for the MP3 unit. I'm going to use a screw connecting the metal inner dash frame to the shell of the car for an earth.

Any suggestions?

I guess the feed for the radio memory would do, it depends how invasive you want to get in the console or dash.

Muppet, which connector block is that coming in to and what colour is the wire?

I will have a stab/slash as it this week if time permits. Is there one under the centre console I could use, I've routed (extended) the live and earth wires under the central arm rest so if I could make the connection under there it would be ideal as it means I can take the power without pulling the dash apart again.

I will post pics onces all done

Sorry, can't remember wire colour, I used a meter to find a constant 12v and spliced in at the back of the head unit

I think there's a sticker on the head unit that shows which pin is which.

You can't quite read the info on the sticker, but you can see where you should look.
