Hi all. I'm looking to get the monkfish road response pack fitted in feb and I was wondering what people thought of it, Ie is there a noticeable difference in road holding and turn in and does the car handle better under braking, Al.

This one's been done to death here as well, but anyway:

Just ask them for a go in their demonstrator. It should show you that unless you just use your car for dropping the kids off, or going shopping, such a modification is not just discressionary, for a car like yours, its absolutely mandatory!

I don't think there is any one else on here who's had it done that would tell you otherwise. Enjoy.

I don't find it changes the road holding and can't say it improves the handling when braking. However, it does sharpen up the steering response a bit and feels like some play has been removed at the front end. I've also done the rear end now and fitted the quick rack and I'd say the rack is the biggest improvement. The demo car has the quick rack.

I've already got the quick rack and it did make a big improvement, I just want it to feel a bir sharper now as the bushes feel very soft on these cars. Its almost as if they were made to be used in a country with lots of long straits and no bends!!.

There's no question. It sharpens the whole thing up. Frankly, I couldn't believe it made so much difference, having thought the HSV engineers knew how to set up a performance car suspension. Make sure you get the trailing link bushes done too, I think this may be an extra. Ask Roger.

Bloody good improvement imo so much so am going to finish off and have the rear end fitted with firmer bushes next time its in for service/MOT

The demo car would not be a good demonstration imo as that car is so sorted you wont know which improvement you are feeling. The bushes just give it the feel it should have, much more positive on the constant gradient turn

I think this video just about says it all, my friend had his GTS done , and just as the video clip shows,it takes all that massive soak/movement away from the front arms. He said it was the best mod he had done.

Depends which demo you have the CV8 has a stock rack, the VXR has a quick rack.

I was thinking more from the suspension too possibly masking some of the improvements made by the pac alone? Anyway a very nice upgrade either way and plased i have it

Must qualify my comments by adding that I did both front and rear upgrades.

Stop!!! What are you trying to achieve? Theres not many people who really need adjustable poly trailing arm bushes.

The road response Pac and Rear end pacs are listed on the website, the trailing arm bushes are not, mainly because there are some options, plus it will depend on what if any work you are doing at the same time.

Like i said, what are you aiming for? I can then advise the best and most cost effective route to get there.

See above. The rear end pac replaces the rear subframe bushes and the diff mount, not the trailing arm bushes.
